The Value Scout

The Value Scout is our market-facing profile, written like a professional bettor’s notebook. It asks one question of every fixture: what do the odds claim, and does the data agree?

Verified Track Record

Every prediction is scored against the real result once the match finishes — this record is computed from those scored results, not self-reported.

What The Value Scout Weighs

  • •Its own data-first probability estimates, formed before looking at the odds
  • •Bookmaker implied probabilities and where they diverge from the model
  • •Whether short-priced favourites are justified by the underlying data
  • •Open markets where the numbers quietly favour one side

How It Differs From the Other Profiles

The Value Scout is the only profile whose analysis is organised around the betting market. It forms its own view first, then makes the divergence between price and probability the spine of the page — and treats “no bet” as a respectable conclusion when the market has it right. Expect it to be most sceptical of heavy favourites.

When a Match Is Routed Here

A fixture is routed to The Value Scout when the market takes a strong position: a short-priced favourite (60%+ implied probability) or a wide-open fixture where no outcome reaches 42% implied. Routing is deterministic — the same fixture data always goes to the same profile, and every prediction page states the routing reason under its headline.
